Mystery Toe?!

Cute things Jake has said!

Yo, ho, the mystery toe! (singing to the tune of 'Ho, ho, the mistletoe')

Does God speak in my heart? Where does he live?

When I go to Mars, I'll just go there for a little while and then come back to live with mommy.

When I grow up, I'll already have a space ship! (hands in the air, like duh!??)

Christmas with Cousins!

Christmas with the Trinidads!

We went to Winnsboro to visit my side of the family on the Saturday before Christmas. It was sooo much fun. Jake LOVES playing with his cousins.

They had this really cool train park with TONS of lights and 3 trains to ride and Santa, and a LIVE NATIVITY scene! It was cool, but we didn't get to ride the train because the line was an hour long, and it was late. We want to go back next year though! He did however, sit a train on the side that didn't move. The kids climbed all over it for a few minutes and then it was back to the house to open gifts!
Michaela and Jake!

Isn't it cool!? That is just a tiny bit of it!

Jake, Michaela, Whitney, and Jackson.

It was sooo cute. They all helped him open his gifts. He had the BEST time.

Bryce and Jake, waiting (not so patiently) to open their gifts!

"Why can't I open them now?"

Michaela and Whitney. The best of friends...cousins a few months a part! Aren't they beautiful?

Ok, we wanted to get a pic of all of them together. Let me just say that there are about 8 of these pictures of them all doing something different!
It's not so easy to get a group of kids to look nicely at the camera!

Ok, they aren't looking at me, but at least they are all smiling!

This was at 11:30pm that night! He didn't sleep in the car (2 hour drive), by the way. Just talked like crazy! He went straight to bed and was asleep before his head hit the pillow!

Christmas with Johnny!
I took some shots of Johnny. I think they turned out pretty nice!

Handsome guy!

Opening his gift. He got cash...what else can a guy ask for?

Jake opening gifts from Debra and Family.

They gave him this chair from Pottery Barn. It is so cute. He didn't act too excited because it wasn't a toy. But he has used this more than any other gift so far! He sits in this thing constantly. I LOVE it too. I sit in it too! I want two of them, but grown up size!!!

Thanks to everyone for a great Christmas!

Christmas 2009

Early Christmas Eve. Goofing around! (He has a bow on his head, and ASKED me to take a picture! It truly was a Christmas miracle!)

We always open one gift on Christmas Eve. This is it!

A Space Book! Something not too exciting, but great for a good read before bed.

Well, it's upside down, but space pictures are all relative anyway!

Leaving cookies for Santa and Oats for his reindeer. (It was funny, we were going to leave them on the hearth, but because on "The Polar Express" they leave it on the coffee table, we HAD to leave them there!)

The Cookies! The last of my 72 peanut butter cookies. And I am happy to say that I only ate about 5 of them! I gave most away!

Coming down the stairs the next day. Funny story. Jake's pull-up leaked, so we had to get up at 6am and change him and his sheets. Well, it was still dark and we "didn't know if Santa had come yet", so he went right back to bed with no trouble. Usually if he gets up, he's up! Brian looked at me and said, "I wish everyday was Christmas!" Me too....sleep, the greatest gift of all.

Finding his Clone Trooper helmet from Santa!

Doesn't he look like a bobble head!

Try it on mom!

Not so comfortable!

The cookies have been eaten, and the oats are strewn all over the place!

Tie-Fighter! Darth Vader's ship!!

Clone Wars scooter

The Mega Rig! A space ship....awesome!!!!

Obi-wan's space ship!!!

Later that morning at the Grandparents! (We were there at 9:40 am, so it wasn't even that late!) LOL!
Jake opening his camera (Aunt Sharon gave him this, and I didn't think he would like it, but he LOVES it! Yay!)

Shots from Jake's camera:
It's funny to see how he sees the world! Everybody's face is soo big!
Grandad!

Sha-sha (Aunt Sharon)!

Sha-sha and Mimi!

Dad!

Mimi!

Mommy and Daddy!

Back to regular shots!

Sha-sha opening Jake's gift to her. He picked it out all by himself: it's a Hanukkah Plate! And no, we aren't Jewish! :) Too cute!

The guys: 3 generations of Roberts men! All first borns!

Playing, playing, playing!

Helping Mimi open her AWESOME camera! A Nikon D300. I'm so green I can hardly stand it!!

He wouldn't take it off for anything!

The things he comes up with!

Pics:

This was the first night that Jake met his cousin Johnny. He LOVES him. Johnny likes Jake, but as you can imagine, a 3 year old can cramp his 10 year old lifestyle a bit.

Playing Star Wars with Uncle John! HE LOVES HIS UNCLE JOHN!

Turkey Day! My brother-in-law is a really great cook! Just look at this turkey.

The Guys just hangin' out!

Jake riding on Johnny's old airplane. He spent half of Thanksgiving dinner there!

Playing in some leaves down the street.

WEEEEEEEE!

Conan came over one night and they dressed up. There isn't a helmet with the Buzz Lightyear costume, so he grabbed the football helmet! Too funny!
The look is because Darth Vader (a.k.a. Jake) is a bad guy. So Buzz (a.k.a. Conan) is going to get him. Boys.

More dress up. He loves the knight costume...

I love the knight costume, cuz he needs minimal help!

The day we met Santa!
The reindeer! I think this one was Blitzen!

Checking out the reindeer.

Santa!!!!!

Jake's cousin, Ashley and Santa. Isn't she adorable!? She looks like a little doll. And I mean that in the LITERAL sense. She literally looks like a porcelain doll!!

Stories:

Jake was getting ready to take a bath calling for Brian. I hear, "Dad...Oh Dad! The Dad of all Dads!"

Jake and I were playing cars. After playing with cars for more than 15 minutes or so, it's hard to come up with new ideas, so I decided I would get stuck in the mud. "I need a tow!" I said. To which Jake responds, "But I don't have any toes, I have wheels!"

First there came the "Badgel" (if you don't know what that is, check out the post with the flying cow pic), next came a "Codgel" (A whale with wings...duh!) and now there is something called a "Spotcher". I don't know...like I said before...he's just my kid!

Celebrating Thanksgiving:
Jake had to tell his teachers who he was thankful for. It was in this order...
Mason (his friend at school), Mimi, Grandad, Uncle Johnny, Mommy and Daddy. (I think we were just added because the teachers felt sorry for us!

We were over at my sister, Debra's house.
Debra: Johnny (her son, Jake's cousin) will you go find Jake a car to play with?
Jake: You're not the boss! (This could have been really bad, but at least he was smiling and laughing when he said it. And Debra thought it was hilarious!)
