Like bronchiolitis isn't enough!
OK, so I forgot to add something to the blog yesterday. This story isn't so cute. Anyway, after leaving the Doctor's office, which had been quite traumatic anyway, (did I mention he hates his breathing treatments?) we get in the elevator. Well my hands are full with the nebulizer, a bag filled with nebulizer equipment, and his diaper bag, so I put him down beside me. Right as the door closes, Jake puts his hand out...so I grab is other had and pull him back. I didn't pull him back fast enough and the elevator closed on his fingers, not only that, but THE STUPID THING DIDN'T LET GO OF HIS FINGERS! We had to wait until the thing got down to the bottom floor to let go. It's amazing how fast you think, because I was thinking "should I press the stop button? No, that'll take longer to let go! We'll just have to wait!" So of course I dropped everything all over the elevator, and comfort Jake as much as I can while his fingers are being squished...poor baby. We end up riding the elevator again because I'm calming him down. In the mean time a girl stepped onto the elevator (I say girl, she was in her 20's) and she's about to cry, asking me if his fingers are broken! His fingers move and everything is OK, but it did rip some skin. So who do I talk to about this? I mean aren't these things supposed to have sensors? What if it had been his arm and his hand was stuck on the next floor?! I just know that from now on, I am in between Jake and door!

That is so scary, and freaky! You totally would expect some safety measure to keep things like that from happening. Definitely something for us to keep in mind from now on!
