Lots and Lots of Jake Jargon...

Seeing Santa: Jake was SO excited to Santa this year! He couldn't wait to tell him that he wanted a "clone trooper helmet that makes his voice a different version" (clone trooper voice changer helmet, but for any of his relatives who have any ideas, Santa is already bringing it)! We saw Santa and he was reluctant for about a second, until Santa said "Hey there big guy, give me five! Come here, Santa's not gonna hurt you, Santa LOVES you to death." At which point Santa picked him up and Jake was smiling from ear to ear! He was so nice. I just love Santa!

Jake was taking a bath and wanted to know if I was going to take one too. I told him no, that I take mine in the mornings. He keeps going on as to 'why' and I keep trying to come up with some new reason that will satisfy him, when he says "Are you not stinky?"

Jake wouldn't go to sleep one night. After an hour of fighting with him about it, Brian and I were at the end of our ropes. So I'm sitting down on his bed, having a talk. I'm telling him that it's important for boys to go to sleep and grow strong, and why won't he just close his eyes and go to sleep? Jake looks at me with his arms out, and very seriously says, "Because... God just made me that way!"

I was putting Jake to bed and we were talking.
Jake: When I'm big and have a baby I could sleep in that room (pointing to my and Brian's room)
Me: Oh yeah? And where would the baby sleep?
Jake: Here! (pointing to his bed) But with my blanket!
Me: You would have your blanket, or the baby would have your blanket?
Jake: ME! Because it's MY blanket!!! (He had his hands out and turned up, as if to say, duh?)

Aunt Sharon was playing football with Jake. She was trying to get him to catch it, but he kept putting his hands up to high. So she said "Here Jake, put them next to your belly button." So from then on, every time he got ready to catch the ball, he would lift his shirt up, look at his belly button, put his arms next too it and catch the ball that way!

What's a Badgel?

Jake is really into making up words right now... His latest? A "badgel." Apparently, it is a cow with wings, and they aren't very nice????? I don't know, he's just my kid... He thinks it is the most hilarious thing in the world to call someone a badgel... Now tell me, how am I suppossed to tell him not to call people names, when it's A MADE UP WORD?

Family Pumpkin Patch Trip

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed to the Big Orange Pumpkin Patch. Jake and I's second visit, but Dad's first. We also went with some new friends...Emily and Kevin and their adorable daughter Brook...

Jake being silly in the patch

They had a bounce house that he LOVED!

Is this a Mick Jagger move or what?

Do you want some?

Look at this big pumpkin Mom!

Ok, Brook these are the horns. You have to be careful of these because...
Brian, Jake, Joy, Emily, Brook and Kevin on the hay ride.

Checking out the view from the hay ride!

Just an artsy fartsy pic!

Conan Stayed Over

Conan stayed the night Thursday night and we had a good time! Thursday night we watched the Clone Wars and played and then went to bed. Friday morning we played, made cookies, when to McDonald's and played more. Then after nap, we went to a cool Halloween party!
Yummy Halloween cookies with "sprinklers"! The boys had a really good time frosting and 'sprinklering' them!

Mmmm....

This is the best pic of Conan I could get....the turkey wouldn't smile to save his life!

This was Conan's idea, believe it or not!
"Faster Conan!"

So, so, soooo behind on blogging...

Well, I got a new computer after my old one died...Great! But, this one doesn't have a card reader. I FINALLY got a cord to attach to it! Geesh! Anyway...here is what has been going on in the past few months. Mostly pics, but a few memories too...

Small Fry Soccer!

So, Jake started soccer at the YMCA and LOVES it. We didn't know how he would do, because at home he never seems very interested in it. But he thinks it is the greatest thing ever...

Waiting in line for his turn to kick!

Learning how to hold the ball!

Running up to the ball...

A little closer....
What a shot!

He really enjoyed Small Fry soccer and we can't wait for him to do it again!

Jake's 3rd Birthday!

He was so excited, he couldn't contain himself!

Jake LOVES his baby cousin Ashley. He can't get enough of her.

He's so proud...

He calls her "My baby Ashley"

She soooo cute! Couldn't you just gobble her up!?

The 'men' playing with their 'light sabers'! (I found glow in the dark swords that passed for light sabers and gave them as goody treats!)

Baby Ashley had to get in on the action too!

The Feast! Notice the Happy Meal boxes are Star Wars also!

His Clone Trooper Cake...

So excited to blow out his THREE candles!

Football uniform from Aunt Sharon...the biggest hit around this house. Jake won't take it off, and Dad couldn't be prouder!

His new BIKE! Mimi and Grandad got it for him and he loves the idea! Now if he can only learn to pedal...

Thanks to Everyone for such a great birthday!

The Clone Wars and Pumpkin Patch

The Clone Wars!

Jake and Conan have been waiting anxiously for the new Star Wars, the Clone Wars animated series to come out. They had to brush up on their light saber skills.

They are pretty good!

If that's not a pose, I don't know what is!

Come on you droids! We're ready!

Cutest Jedi ever!

Just call me Jedi Master Triple C!

They slashed and slashed and finally defeated the dreaded enemy called, 'WAITING'! They finally made it to the day! Clone Wars was here!

All laid out ready for the big show!

The big moment!

The next day, Jake told us something very interesting. He told us all about, how Conan told him that under Darth Vader's helmet...is Anakin. It was the first time he's ever really learned something like that from someone other than us. It's so cool to see him grow up... but a little sad too. I miss my snuggly baby!

After the show!
You can't quite tell what they are doing...but that is a motor cycle toy. Jake was playing with it, and Conan hopped behind him and said, "I'm riding with you Jake!" It was so cute!

The Big Orange Pumpkin Patch!

It tickles!

I should be a farmer!

You're not supposed to ram it! You're supposed to eat it!

A Long Horn feeding a Long Horn!

Hey, let's hurry up and feed some more!

Here's some more for you, goats!

On the hay ride, in the pumpkin patch!

Hay Ride!

Love this shot!

This old Truck is too cool!

I got stuck up here! Help MOM!

I LOVED feeding the animals!

This dog was so sweet. I just kept petting her until she fell asleep!

Now, how do I start this thing?

First good pic of us together in a while! Thanks Katie!

Two handsome boys at the pumpkin patch

So...how tall am I this year?

Can't wait to go again!
