Our New Little Girl...

This is Tango! She is a 5 and a half month old, full blood Rhodesian Ridgeback. She came from rescue and she's just beautiful. Such a sweetie. She loves to play with Jake. She's potty trained, crate trained and super calm...for a puppy! We are so happy to welcome her to our family. We just know that she and Jake are going to be best buds. She already looks for him first thing in the morning!
On our way home from picking her up. We had to drive to quite a way! He was sooo happy!

Sticking her tongue out at me already!!

Puppy toes

What pretty eyes!

Bored already!

Catching up!

I am soooo behind. I have some stories to add, but pics will have to do for now....

Easter 2009

He loved the blue chick! Don't ask how it got that way..I don't know...

He totally looks like Brian here

Looking at the duckling and the chicks

Hey Diggity! Look at these pink, blue and orange chicks! (Diggity is the duck's name)

POP goes the chicken!

Alessia and Michelle (mom's college buddies) came for a visit. They just could'nt leave me alone!

Playing with Diggity!

Yum!

His class after their Easter egg hunt!

The kid would not go to sleep one night. He is so stubborn. So he has that puppy dog towel on his head (he thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread) and exhausted...finally fell asleep!

Football, March 2009
OK Dad, this is what we're gonna do....

Mardi gras parade...McKinney Texas style!

Ok, it's not your typical mardi gras parade, but it's the only one I would ever dare to go to! It was soooo great. Most of you know that I am a HUGE dog lover. I love all animals, but DOGS so much more. Anyway, when I found out about this Mardi Gras Dog Parade, I could barely wait!

Clearly the winner!

The coolest. I love bulldogs. I just want to grab that face and squeeze!

This was the biggest dog I have ever seen in my life. He WAS HUGE!

Isn't he beautiful? His name is Storm. Just gorgeous!

A 10 week old boxer! He was so absolutely adorable!

Cutie pies!

Bead Girl! And Brooke didn't even have to lift her shirt to get all these!

Cutie patooties!

Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas

We went to the Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. It was sooooo awesome and lots of hands on learning!

They had costumes to assist in the learning!

Silly hats!

Live snakes!

Musical instruments for the kids to use!

More dress up fun! There was an alarm that they set off and everything!

There was a model rocket launch and Jake got to push the button!!!! He was so excited!

Great action shot! Look closely and you will see the blue rocket!

This was a model of a 5 year old Ethiopian child. Look how much smaller it is than Jake! Crazy! Americans are huge!

Did you know that a sneeze comes out of your nose at 100 mph? I didn't! This was so cool. You pushed a button and the giant nose sneezed out at 100 mph.

This was soooo much fun!

Mommy and Jake getting in on the action!

Wow!!!! There was even a dino dig!

He couldn't stand it!

Some silly things Jake's said lately...

Jake was watching Sesame Street when he looks at me, hands in the air, furrowed brows and asks, "Excuse me, but why does he like cookies soooo much?"

I was putting Jake to bed and he wanted to 'read' his books after I left the room. I said that he needed to just go to sleep and he started arguing and asking why, when I said "Enough Jake, I don't want to hear the word book again." So he looks at me and says "Buck!" Man, is he testing me or what!?

We went to the Museum of Nature and Science and there was a 3d model of a beating heart. Later we were talking about how that's what his heart looks like. He asks "But our hearts aren't squishy..." I tell him that yes, they are squishy, that's how they work. He responds, "NO! I don't like squishy hearts!" He was really creeped out about it!!!
