Well, Jake took his first real steps yesterday. He's been walking around holding on to our fingers for the past week. So yesterday I was working with him, trying to get him to take a few steps to me. He would just kind of dive towards me...but then Brian walked in, and Jake went from a standing position and took about 5 steps towards him. We were so excited! And Jake was so proud of himself. We worked on it later that night and he did it again, this time squealing with delight as he reached Brian. It was so sweet. I can't believe how much he is changing and learning. He has soooo many words now! I couldn't even begin to list them all, but here are a few: Socks, Outside, Slide, Drink, Rain, Breakfast, Buddy, Dog, Duck, Grandad, Bye Bye, Night Night, Bottle, Hold Jake and a mystery word "Boorsh." His favorite? It's a tie between Outside and Socks. He LOVES to go outside. He will stand at the door and beg to go outside. And we think he likes the word socks because he says it so clearly. The funny thing is that he thinks anything having to do with the feet, is socks. Feet, socks, shoes, sometimes even pants! He is getting to be so much fun.
We took him to the pumkin patch last Saturday. I hope you enjoy the pics!

I LOVE the picture of him smelling the tiny pumpkin. WAY TOO CUTE. I can't believe how big he is getting....and almost walking to boot. Conan was sitting on my lap when I pulled your site up and he got really excited, he asked if he could hug Jake.
